This app is a complete waste of money. Does not allow 2 way communication. If I read a Favorite in Twitter, Cannot unfavorite after reading.

Every time you try to log in to Facebook from Favs is a launch of your default web browser to Facebook. Favs, itself, just keeps going in circle with the web browser. You are never able to log in to Facbook inside Favs. Just terrible!

Facebook does not load properly, and it does not include Tumblr. This app would be cool if it let you swithc between a live feed and your favorites, but its literally just a list of things you like on Facebook and tweets you have starred on twitter. No good for anything else really.

I have been dreaming of an app like this for years. I star/favorite/mark to read later items ALOT and the ability to view said items in one place is an info geeks nirvana. It currently has some limitations but hopefully the dev will continue to add and improve the app. For some reason the app can only view Twitter favorites of unprotected accounts. I however perfer to have my account protected so I couldnt get to mine. I assume this is an API issue with Twitter that will get addressed. The other thing that seems imperative to be addressed is two way syncing. I was not able to unstar articles or un-favorite articles. One can mark them as "read" or "remove the item" from within the app but the best I can tell its just for in the app. Again, very promising APP……… I look forward to changing my three stars to a 4 or hopefully 5 in the near future!

Seems like an expensive app for what it does.

Im quite happy with Favs as it is, though do agree that it would be better if it had two way communication with the sources as an option (though I would not want everything that I read in Favs to be "unfavorited" in the source app, personally). I have no desire to link Favs to Facebook, so I cant comment on the problems others have had there. I was interested in Favs based on the articles at Mac Stories so decided to check it out while in beta but wasnt convinced it would suit my needs. I was wrong. Favs fills a need that I didnt really realize I had unitl I started using this app. I was favoriting stuff at all sorts of sites/apps - mostly Twitter, Instapaper and Pinboard - and was then never going back to those (often excellent) materials. I wasnt really taking advantage of all the great content I was encountering because there was no smooth way to integrate reviewing them all into my workflow. Enter Favs. Now I can easily and quickly review all of those things that I deemed worthy of favoriting and actually read it, act on it or whatever I want to do with it. Good stuff is no longer languishing. Im pleased.

I just bought this, and it works really well! I havent seen anything else that shows all my favorites from Github, Stackoverflow, Twitter, and Facebook. Please add support for Quora and Wikipedia, Thanks!

Cant import existing following lists in twitter?

I was so excited about this app (and still kind of am, providing that it actually starts WORKING sometime in the near future). Ive added all my sources, but nothing newer than 24 hours ago shows up - and most posts are at least six days old! Until it starts pulling more recently published events, this app is pretty useless for me.

So when you load this, how long does it take to get actual "real-time" updates? I so far have only updates from 8 days ago!!! If this is how it is supposed to work I want my money back.

Version 1.0 is a fine first iteration. The worst problem it has is that text in the Web pane sometimes renders too small for a given item. Theres no obvious way to resize the text to make it more readable, which means the app is not useful for a number of items. "Open in Browser" makes it possible to get around this, but that means loading every item twice to read it: Once to discover the in-app view is unreadable, once to reload it in a real browser. A possible cure for this would be to include a Readability or Instapaper preview toggle, similar to the way Reeder does it. Until theres some way to control display of in-app Web views, Im resistant to using the app much and its not worth the $9.99 I paid.

With the addition of iCloud, Favs is even better. The one-two punch of Favs for the Mac and for iOS is now near perfect. There are some minor issues that keep it from being a 5 star app. The window used to view articles needs to be polished more. It doesnt look very pleasing to the eye. Also, articles within Pocket dont always have the title, only my username. This makes it difficult to know what Im reading before I click on the article. All in all, this is a good app and Im happy to own it. I just hope that the developers keep working on making it even better because there is so much that can be refined to make it perfect.

reading the blurb about the app I thought id see my twitter watch list and fb wall. thats not the case. all you get are your postings and direct communications. that makes the tool MUCH less valuable. Try Socialite - the UI isnt as good but it does way more.

I use a lot of these different services, so its great to be able to collect my bookmarks and favorites and such from all of them in one place. Makes organizing things much easier.

Have the iPhone app too. Would be hard to give up Favs. Complaints: Slow to sync on both the Mac and iPhone. Need an iPad app. Facebook is constantly asking to reauthorize. Updates to the app are sparse. All that said, Favs is a must have app for me.

The app is unfinished in many ways. There are very troublesome memory leaks that are leading to 3+ GB of RAM being used by this application. Forgiving this bug, the app in general is VERY lacking in features. The search is poor (for example, I would like to be able to search just for favorites with links), there are no view customizations (I would like to be able to change the font size of the favs/posts), I was also expecting it to have UI views for each type of post, instead of loading the content in a web frame with a title.

This is app great in that it gives you an overview of all the overwhelming number of account favorites. Where it is lacking is it is read-only for these purposes. For instance, it connects to Pinboard (via the full API) but does not have a remove feature. For services that have read/write access this app should integrate those features instead of using unsigned public APIs. Also the app does not really customize views for each service for the most part and instead just loads web URLs for the resource for things like Dribble and Flickr, if I remember correctly. Its strength is consolidating all services into one app but now it could use more ways to view the content outside of a WebUIView.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! It is broken. Every time it tries to access Facebook it crashes. The support link goes to a page containing only a download link. Apparently, the developer does not offer support. I am reporting this to Apple as it is not a working product.

Ill start by saying that I don’t use this application often, and I don’t foresee other people will either. When I do use it however, usually when I want to see something I previously favorited or liked, it’s incredibly handy! I find myself almost relying on it now to keep track of all my favorites across the internet, exactly what it was designed for. If you like keeping your social media organized, this is a great tool, and in my opinion worth every penny of the price.
